Peach Blossom Perfume
By: Nadia Lockheart
4/25/17

Have you ever seen,
a rolling field of evening primrose,
blooming under an April sky,
and as the sun gently folded,
behind the mountain peaks,
you feel your wild heart revitalize?

Baby, let's go sway,
baby, let's go sway,
in this hot magenta dusk,
let's go run astray,
let's go run astray,
breathe it in and feel the rush...

Cuz our young hearts,
are blossoming,
now we're dancing a little slower,
kissing a little softer,
under a flowering cottonwood moon.

Cuz our young love,
is blossoming,
our sighs are up in fumes,
swooning right on cue,
with hints of peach blossom perfume...
.
.
In a bustle and a twitter,
we're at a gently lapping river,
with the leaves rustling overhead,
cedar waxwings in the boughs,
of this sylvan playground,
so restless we can't catch our breath.

And we can wear these stars,
like a negligee,
right up there on the ridge,
this flame can't be tamed,
no, we can't be tamed,
we're young and wild as the wind...

Cuz our young hearts,
are blossoming,
now we're dancing a little slower,
kissing a little softer,
under a flowering cottonwood moon.

Cuz our young love,
is blossoming,
our sighs are up in fumes,
swooning right on cue,
with hints of peach blossom perfume...
.
.
Baby, take a gaze,
baby, take a gaze,
into the nature of desire,
baby, we can wade,
waist-deep where the sky,
is as scenic as the water...
.
.
Cuz our young hearts,
are blossoming,
now we're dancing a little slower,
kissing a little softer,
under a flowering cottonwood moon.

Cuz our young love,
is blossoming,
our sighs are up in fumes,
swooning right on cue,
with hints of peach blossom perfume...

Yeah, our cheeks are burning,
all our words are slurring,
in kisses of peach blossom perfume...
.
.

Noah,
One of your best! I absolutely adore the fumes
you've painted and the beat you beat!  Wonderful! It was good to see your name again.
