Shadows follow us
where no one else goes
places of fantasy
that no one else knows

Only our footsteps
to tell where we've been
when the sun slips away
we'll do it again

Most days are trying
and often take hold
but when nightfall arrives
the adventure unfolds

Seen in the light
of our ballroom of dreams
we two have the floor
...forever it seems

Thanks Mr. Bolton! I get the idea you're a "been there, done that" kinda guy!

Pass the Glade if you're going to do that here...

PU-
"Me and my shadow..." Lovely thought here. Made me realize how little thought I give to my shadow and how much "shade" I might cast upon others. I know that wasn't really the direction of your poem, but that is where it took me. ~L
