Spring

...and the tree buds promise
of shade from the sun,
if we will only wait

Summer

...and the sun promises warmth,
if only we will come out
from under the shade tree

Pass the Glade if you're going to do that here...

very nice PU, I enjoy poems about nature and the seasons. As for myself, had I been writing this; instead of the word warmth, I
would have used unrelenting, cursed heat. But that's just me. ~L

I hate summer, and that is why I shall stay under that tree and its bountiful shade. I've had skin cancer three times, that is another reason to hide 'neath that tree's shadow.

" I would have used unrelenting, cursed heat..."

I thought about using words to that effect Lori Rhoden, but I just couldn't make them flow. Also, what you may find as "cursed heat, I really do think of as "warmth"...considering I choose to live in a more 'temperate' area of the country (USA).

Thanks so much for your comments!

Yes sir Mr. Bolton! Perhaps a hammock under that shade tree with a pen, a pad and a pillow would be more inviting then a deep tan with a price tag!

Thanks for your visit!
