I don't remember EVER...being still!!
Bug-eyed and vibrating, I'd speak with a shrill!
Biting the bark off of mom's bonsai tree,
was just one of the things that would satisfy me!

Now though, I'm different, much to mom's delight,
I'm calm and reserved, and I no longer bite!
The latest on bonsai, is it's doing alright,
and I no longer twitch, scratch, or shriek!

A boy now of 20, I've sure learned plenty,
about how the birds live with bees.
I've a girl of my own, we read Rolling Stone,
and a four-wheeler jeep if you please!

But when time comes for bak'n, I start-a-shak'n,
push'n, claw'n, an' shov'n!
The Stork's on his way to our house today,
TO DELIVER THE ONE IN THE OVEN!!!

Remembering the excitement of those times (and wondering now how the hell I did it)being so young. Too young to have any idea all the things I needed to know. ~L

Thank you Lori Rhoden. Young mothers (very young) always have a tough row to hoe. Your trials speak volumes with respect for your character and willingness to do what had to be done.

May your rewards be many.
