Haikus are the freshest form of poetry in my opinion and yours is a fine example!

Pass the Glade if you're going to do that here...

True Haiku being strictly about nature are then inherently Spiritual to me and I like your use of the word "fresh" to describe it.
There was a time when I was writing a Haiku/senryu every morning to wake up, with my coffee.~L
