Fair to middlin' of nowhere

The rain sodden clouds
mimic the predawn gray
that whispers to us of those
last precious moments of sleep
tugging on our eyelids.
Spitter spattering of rain
softly plays upon our ears,
coaxing us away from alertness.
We relax to the gentle bobbing
of flowers and foliage
as a rainy day drowsy
sets in uninvited.
Yawning and stretching,
we struggle against
the forces of nature.
Some settle in their places
filling warm contented spaces.
Others succumb to blankets
and books and dreams
of faraway places.

Ah, our day yesterday was anything but a comfort. We had nasty weather with tornado warnings galore, and heavy, driving, pouring down rain.

We have had one wet gloomy day after another... but we really needed the moisture.
We are finally getting our normal March weather rather than unseasonably hot. I'm afraid this summer is going to be a scorcher!

Weather is a curse at it's extremes and a blessing in moderation. But there's few places of refuge when it gets it's dander up.

Pass the Glade if you're going to do that here...

A little sunshine would be nice but I am in no hurry for it to get hot yet. Thanks Yann. ~L
