The rain sodden clouds mimic the predawn gray that whispers to us of those last precious moments of sleep tugging on our eyelids. Spitter spattering of rain softly plays upon our ears, coaxing us away from alertness. We relax to the gentle bobbing of flowers and foliage as a rainy day drowsy sets in uninvited. Yawning and stretching, we struggle against the forces of nature. Some settle in their places filling warm contented spaces. Others succumb to blankets and books and dreams of faraway places.
We have had one wet gloomy day after another... but we really needed the moisture. We are finally getting our normal March weather rather than unseasonably hot. I'm afraid this summer is going to be a scorcher! ~L
