to experience
a spiritual experience
twice in a lifetime is, I believe
something of a tremendous
undertaking and, in my case quite remarkable
late last night
I received my second one
it quite astounded me
it was as though I was privy
to age-old secrets
I felt wisdom entering my body
through my mind
this wisdom, late at night
rejuvenated my whole being
thought processing of the mind
my physical body
was even transformed
I was slightly in shock to say the least
my whole being was transformed
and quite mesmerized
so much so I went to bed contended
without taking my nightly medicine
slept like the dead
through the night
waking up feeling absolutely wonderful
it is hard for me to even
try to explain
but suffice it to say
and to use a very old phrase
I felt like I was reborn
not a religious experience
far from it
I hate to say it fearing the hoots and jeers
but to me when I awoke
I lay there for a long time trying
to get a handle on my encounter with . . .
my future self
as I lay there remembering
what had happened to me last night
and . . . here it comes . . .
ahhh . . . somehow I understood
that I was trying to talk to me
from across centuries maybe where I’d been
reborn or reincarnated
filling me with gained wisdom
enough so that
it made my old self feel young again
even put enough insightful understanding
into this old brain of mine
giving me clear headedness to
cease and desist
my old ways
and travel through the rest of my life
knowing my path is my path
to walk as I want
but to accept the warmth and understanding
of my new way of thinking
this was difficult for me to write
but I have done my best

Self-realization is very difficult to relate, no doubt. That being said, I read joy in your words Mr. Bolton. My wish for you then, is that you continue to experience a joy in life.

A pleasure to read.

Pass the Glade if you're going to do that here...

You are a blessed man Jerry. Sorry you feel like there would be hoot and jeers from your friends here. Your experience is a cause for celebration! Don't belittle the moment with worries of thoughts of others. All that matters is that it was life changing for you.
Not everyone gets to experience what you did.
Like I said you are blessed. ~L

Ah, Lori, you always know just what to say, and I thank you forever for you saying it. No sweat, things are good. I turn another year today, so that, in itself, is good.

I think these"learning experiences" are why we are here, Jerry.

I believe they are also, Ida, to learn from them.
