darkness doesn’t bother me
in the dark you can truly see what you can’t see
only the stars framed
in the sky at night
you think you can see
but if you stand there
gazing past all those stars
you can see truth you are looking for
let it settle inside you

sleep is also our friend
it gives us a chance to rest and
repair subconsciously what needs to mend
a perfect way to come back new
in the morn
love affairs can
be made whole again
to awaken with tears dried
understand the how and why

not necessary to fight the good fight
just need to be who you are
not a fraud
if there is evil within you
it will show
goodness comes out
to chase the bad
we’ve one life I have been told
I feel we have more
see you on the other side

Wonderful air of peacefulness in your poetry JerryPat. There's a healing taking place here that I especially liked:
