With so much life and love
    forever lost
and but each fleeting moment
   of the 'now'
between past and future
  misty shores,
to bridge the space
between our hearts,
with what untarnished words
may I touch your lovely mind
  and spirit
to take a chance on me?

[All my li'l 'word-painted' scribbles (over 2,200 of them)
though, plus $6.00, would probably get me a 'designer'
coffee most anywhere]

['unrequited' love is at the top of my queue of exquisite tortures ...
I seem to be an 'expert' at it. It seems rather ironic that one of the
two things (Nature and true Love), that are the primary themes of
my li'l word-painted scribbles, has eluded me completely in this life].

Since you wrote this with someone in mind, I hope you sent it to them by some other means then this place. I think it's a lovely piece of poetry and I agree with your closing statement wholeheartedly!

Pass the Glade if you're going to do that here...please!
