From the immense spruce,
Millions of leaves soared,
Joining in spirals so black.

Ahhh . . . Caught your poem almist as you posted. Yeah! The image you presented was actually very intense as, in my thoughts, I saw the starlings and the leaves become as one. "Very" graphic indeed.

Blackbirds come by now and again in numbers impossible to count. They do rest in the trees as leaves and they all leave within milliseconds of each other. I often wonder which of them was the first to lift it's legs to take flight.

Good poetry yann.

thanks jerry, i tried to be very close of the scene , the lucky scene at twenty meters from my house and two consecutive days, really impressive when thousands birds fly away,

The wonders (and yes, physics) of nature are thrilling. Those that ignore them are usually out chasing rats, a sad and despondent undertaking. I'm with you 100% yann!

Pass the Glade if you're going to do that here...please!
