Let us all join hands
and bow our heads
and pray to Almighty God
for a miracle heaven sent.
Pray that this bombastic tweeter
can do more than benefit
the self-serving one percent.
Lord have mercy
on his loud insulting mouth
that it doesn’t get us in hot water
and all diplomacy goes south.
Oh Dear Jesus,
let not the people
who have worked hard as a rock
become victims of legislation
that turns back the clock.
Bless him with wisdom
and a heart that is mindful and true
and in all decisions have him consider
what would Bernie Sanders do.

I understood also, Lori, I just had to throw in my "Trump" thing. Some people, and I am grateful for them, delve deeper than the superficial "Trump all the way" kind of posting and show their class.

Amen Lori!! We now have a president who is worried about the size of his hands and the size of the crowd at his innauguration. I'm all for uniting our country and giving him a chance...but I can't understand the things that trip his trigger. Thanks for your poem. I hope you and your husband are well.

Blues! I appreciate your comment and concern.
The old man is done with treatments and on the slow road to recovery. We won't have any test results until the end of April. It is good to see him feeling better! ~L
