Rain falls in the dark
Making rhythms on the roof
No one can dance to

Here's hoping it doesn't freeze into ice when it hits the ground.

There are times when we should just sit and listen and let the rain have the floor.

Rain stirs and inspires, does it not?
Very good haiku.

The staccato of rain on my own roof has been ever-present for a few days now. I think of all the times I've heard that familiar sound and the very different emotions that sometimes stirred in me as it fell. Some good, some trying and some bad. It's nice though to be here to listen to it yet again...and be at peace. I hope that same peace for all.

Thanks everyone for your warm responses to my little Haiku. Everything is fine Jerry, all things considered. Now that my daughter has moved back home, I'm spending time hanging out with her when I would normally be on the computer. Thanks again everybody
