Wish somebody else would post, but . . .

I love to look toward the sky,
And that is why I am so high.
Oh, beautiful sun shinning true,
As if the entire wide world knew.

Eh, behind the clouds it can hide,
’Specially when I’ve had such pride.
Looking ahead is such a sweet joy,
I feel like a young grinning boy.

It takes not much to make me proud,
I am out from under those clouds.
Don’t know what tomorrow will bring,
I only know that tonight I cling.

You're right JerryPat, more should post including myself. In the meantime, allow me to say that I enjoyed your uplifting poem very much.

My friend you just have to accept that it is lonely at the top. It is the price you pay for being so prolific. Being consumed with writing is a good thing for you. But for the rest of us mere pencil pushers it is something to strive for. Cut us hacks some slack, Jack! ~L

It's what some call "The Now", as I'm sure you've heard Jerry. Not a bad place to be at all. More good things from you. Always interesting and thought-provoking.

Loving Linny Jean is poetry.
