A tiny spark...
small, insignificant
at first.
flickering wildly.
Blown out often
by an evil wind.
Slowly springing
to life again.
Will it finally
burst into flame
and rise
like the Pheonix
from the ashes
to cleanse
a desolate landscape?
Or will
an out of control inferno
burn down the house?
Only the Watchers
may control the flame.

I so hope the watchers are flat-out watching, because I believe from the bottom of my heart, Ida, that "an out of control inferno (will) burn down the house."

Hopefully 2017 will bring better times for all. No fires, no floods, tornadoes or other disasters.
