The Power of Love and Forgiveness

Now that yesterday is gone
and I can see the error of my ways
I can more clearly understand
how wrong choices came into play,
so many times I was hurt by others
and I responded in anger and pain,
when love and forgiveness
would have been the better way
to stop the falling rain;
for when you forgive
love lives within your heart
and when you hold onto pain and anger
your peaceful world falls apart.

this is so true, jerry, anger can be bad, forgive is not easy, specially to oneself for mistakes,
this is a thoughtful poem,

JM - How much less civilized would we be without the capacity to love and forgive. Fortunately somebody up high was thinking ahead even when we couldn't. Makes ya think. Enjoyed your work James. Namyh
