"In my days"
The vain poet mumbled
"I shared a man (or gal) or two"
"But in those days"
The humbled poet said
"Not a one saw me like you"

There is life after life in the heart of a good man (or woman).

I want to die in my sleep like my grandfather...not like the passengers screaming in the back of his car.

I like this. It is a little deep pool of wisdom. It is kind of rustic, like a treasure you would find at an antique store.
Very cool! ~L

And that is all that matters, how they see us with different, caring eyes.

Thank you Lori and JerryPat for your nice comments. I really appreciate you both!

RAM, you must be talking about yourself. I don't know why you chose my poem to say all that. Why bother with a reply box when you can just post yourself?

Sorry if you didn't care for my response... Perhaps I didn't understand what you wrote. It happens

If you don't understand something RAM, just say so. I ain't smart enough to confuse anybody, or at least I didn't think I was.

My response was meant as a light-hearted pun on your line... "I shared a man (or gal) or two"... No disrespect intended
