~~~
Step lightly now
the moon's on the rise
The world of the sun
has been hidden ...
from eyes
~
Creatures of darkness
this deep in the wood
slip forth from the shadows
for one taste
of your blood
~
You can not avoid them
there is no escape
They're fast on your scent
start to run...
it's too late
~
Wings beat overhead
the screech of an owl
In the distance
a wolf
answered close by a growl
~
Your heart racing wildly
blood pounding in ear
There's light up ahead
you run
like a deer
~
Full speed
in the moonlight
a branch
greets your head
Toe
catches a stump
hit the ground just like lead
~
All at once
they're upon you
it's useless to scream
Blood sucking mosquitoes
type O's
their ice-cream
~~~

Ooooh! Taking me back to my childhood, getting scared half to death and loving every scream I uttered.
