I listen to the sound
of writers
whimpering and complaining
of this, of that
a coma or a semicolon
I hear the sounds of writers
trying to make sentences connect
and poems with literary value
every so often
a bark of satisfaction
or a sob of complete, mind numbing disarray
but the clamor of the writers
put all together
sounds like a violent Tchaikovsky piece
with its swirling, convoluted breathtaking majesty
of sound
this is what I hear
when I listen to the sound of writers

Keen observations Jerry, with one possible exception. Had your ear been close to my desk, the most frequent and prominent sound you would hear over my growling would be the manic scrubbing of my king-size eraser.

Good topic to introduce. New, fresh and different.  You never disappoint in your original thoughts and your ability to relate them Jerry.

Salute'!

Loving Linny Jean is poetry.

Thank you, Ari, and I am sorry I didn't include that super-duper eraser giving your work hell.

This is so brilliantly true. I have always wondered what color awe would be. It is the crayon most used in my box when I read the work of others.

Ah, your thoughts and comments to my poem is brilliant indeed, Constance. And that special color you use, may it never run out of its color. Thank you . . .

The sound of my writing is a lot of scratching out and scribbling. Never would have thought to write a poem about it! I like the way your mind works,  Jerry, your poems are always interesting.

Hello Elizabeth, and thank you for reading and commenting on my poem. Yes,we all have our own ways of "scribbling," and "scratching out," but combined there rises wonderful, energetic sounds which, in my way of thinking, are like a grand and masterful musical piece.
