          The Autumn Wind
            (passages)

With the last glimmering glimpse
of sunset cloud-orphans
dancing through an endless sky,
in the thunderous calm
just before twilight,
when the cicada song and even
these ancient hills grieve the late
    Summer’s passing
and this lake becomes a
   clear-bright mirror
of yesterday’s dreams
and tomorrow’s uncertainties,
we seek both human and Time’s
   forgiveness
for all that ‘should have been,’
and one final parting thought
   stands alone and clear ...
“Follow the Autumn wind,
  for it shall always ‘know’
  so much more than we!”

Sometimes, our own reflection is the most difficult to ponder over. So much easier it is to bend our gaze away to the image of another...and think.

Much to 'ponder' in the shimmering surface of your "lake" Bruce. Lovely poetry.

Loving Linny Jean is poetry.
