Caesar, the day is coming Did you know Its tricky and faultless by demand Will it be pain filled or painless by show of hands This is yours to know Caesar, I hate to interrupt your time Did you know Fate is coming with the Ides of March Sleep will be great with the Ides of March Its your show Blood and piercings Juices of fruits There's a purple pillow for your crown Our ruling class will lay you down Your flow softens the mud at your feet There's no surprise the coming frown On the Ides of March will your life complete Ready your oils, ready your gown The fires lit for your pyre to come down As April sleeps its last goodnight Soon all of Rome will see your flames glowing bright All of Rome will see your fire light Blood and piercings Juices of fruits There's a purple pillow for your crown Our ruling class will lay you down Your flow softens the mud at your feet There's no surprise the coming frown On the Ides of March will your life complete Caesar, is there anything you would like to say You have found out ahead of time your death is on its way With just a short time this process won't delay By divine judgment soon you'll go away Now that all is said and done prepare for your last day Blood and piercings Juices of fruits There's a purple pillow for your crown Our ruling class will lay you down Your flow softens the mud at your feet There's no surprise the coming frown On the Ides of March will your life complete |

Sorry, but I think you could, and probably should have, left out two of these stanza's . . . Blood and piercings Juices of fruits There's a purple pillow for your crown Our ruling class will lay you down Your flow softens the mud at your feet There's no surprise the coming frown On the Ides of March will your life complete ~ If they give you ruled paper, write sideways. ~ |
