locating my frolic
lost somewhere along the way
discarded among my happy-go-lucky
brazen swagger
teeth gritted for effect
dealing with the dust and dream
looking for my sizzle
it used to fit snug, like a
a patented soft leather glove
been told I look lustful
in my leathers
ahhh . . .
found my misplaced frolic
wear with pride
feels so good
I allow it to be unbuttoned
exposing my glad

Thank you Blues, but I said, "I allow it to be unbuttoned / exposing my glad." It had not one thing to do with sexually exposing oneself. Sorry you thought of a day of un-glad.

Metaphorically, I can see the 'shields' go down and an openness revealed. Some people you just feel more comfortable with.

Loving Linny Jean is poetry.

I try to be comfortable with as many people as I can, Ari. It works out pretty good for me. Thanks for stopping by, reading my poem, and commenting.

I read this when you first posted but didn't reply because I related so well to the first part and was envious of the second. Really good poem! Should have said so to begin with.

Hey! Everything is cool, Lori. Sometimes I won't comment on a poem until later for whatever reason.  Thanks for being here today.

Happy is where you find it Jerrypat! Imagine finding your frolic without your glad or happy! Very cheerful worth alot of smiles!

I want to die in my sleep like my grandfather...not like the passengers screaming in the back of his car.
