I heard that you sank beneath the waves' the moonlight caressing the surface-- as your being extinguish'd. I'm not talking of oceans' nor of rivers or steams-- but without love. for once you fade from the world you're floating in the subtance of inner doubt' troubled mind-- a blackening from the light. But if I were to talk of me the moment I entered into the agreement of love, what was it like the moment it shot me from cupids bow. it seems so long ago' I mean you hear people speak of love as if it is magical, a thing of beauty, the artwork without a price that draws people in to gaze upon its mysterious curves and colours. I remember feeling like i had a thousand things inside me, bouncing around against my inners' gathering where my heart would be making their homes' I imagine this is what it felt like to be a king looking out over his people, though those people stay for your protection' they also have their own emotions, own thinking methods, own solutions, and a smile. I'm not sorry to be at a loss, nor happy that I am in it. But if this is all that is to come of me still flicking that ember into life-- let me just be it. |

I personally have found that love isn't nearly as magical as it is supposed to be, but far and away . . . "thousand / things inside me, bouncing around against my inners'" You are so right. Also when we fall in "love" many times we attempt to make over the one who has captured our hearts. That makes no sense whatsoever. ~ If they give you ruled paper, write sideways. ~ |

It's a cliché, but love is the most powerful feeling. A passionate love, if it is not reciprocated, can turn the most vivid colours to grey. Not quite sure whether you have found and lost it, or never really found it. If we are strong enough, and old enough: 'better to have loved and lost, than to never have loved at all.' I can remember when that comment made me angry, but now I totally understand. Tremendous writing. |
