Fair to middlin' of nowhere

Somewhere within
this perfect soul
I was born in,
wait my words
of poetry.
Words blessed
to touch hearts
with warmth.
Words that would
bring grace
in a smile of a moment
uplifted.
I have been entrusted
and God gifted
so to do.

...then this is "the place your words are looking for", as the poets say. We see the outside and now a peek on the inside. Thanks for that pleasure Lori.

Loving Linny Jean is poetry.

You're only telling it like it is, Lori. Your poems can be about everyday life, and in the next one you might open up your heart and soul. Also, if irked about something you have no trouble "getting it off your chest." Write on, Poet!

Thanks guys!
Too bad it has taken me so long to realize that poetry is the one thing in life that I am good at and it brings me immense pleasure and following that bliss is a blessed thing for me to do. That shift in my perspective let me put a lot of garbage thinking in the dumpster. ~L

A tad self-indulgent, but I love you . x

Yeah, not really, more like a mission statement. We all have perfect souls we are born into. We may be born into imperfect bodies and toxic surroundings but we are all here for a reason. That was it dawning on me that duh, this is my gift. It is more than just something I like to do. ~L
