If I possess a living soul
Let it fill my life's frugal bowl:
And mix elixirs' grand design,
To give me peace before my time:
Give me intellect to inspire,
To always be one to admire,
And if my breath will breathe for naught,
'Ere the cause of death; a love clot.

A "Love clot". Ingenuous Jerry. Has the rhythm of a bedtime prayer. Are you expecting to leave us? This sounds a bit like a personal 'last rite'.

To have a "love clot" when buying the farm is better than to have no "love clot" when 'closing' the deal.

Excellent poetry Jerry.

More feelings and fewer words please

Hah! No, Ari, I'm not expecting to leave you anytime soon. Still, at my age you tend to think about death more than normal I imagine. Thank you for reading and commenting on my poem.
