Your eyes are as alluringly as the shore and sea,
where clarinet, flute and violin sing –
a weeping song, a melody of softness in smiling-eyes,
whispering with love and delight,
as each wave of that sea kisses the shore
gently awash by a warm summer breeze;
sweetness is there, on that shore and sea,
and there am I,
where dreaming is coddled by your alluring hazel eyes…

Mesmerized – captivated by thoughts of you,
and there, in my dreams,
your sweet smile, and hazel eyes;
eyes as alluringly as the shore and sea,
where clarinet, flute, and violin sing –
weeping songs in the calm of smiling-eyes,
and whispering a warm breeze as each wave kisses the shore…
There is where I want to be,
Where dreaming of you – is being with you.
You, and your alluring hazel eyes…

Where you are,
there am I…

.

A curve ball every now and then helps to cure the monotony...

Love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul,and with all your mind. Love your neighbor as yourself.

Such a captivating and enjoyable poem you have given us JL. It affected me maybe more so than others, I was, and still am, captivated by someone with those beautiful hazel eyes.

Warm and tender thoughts JL, expressions of love from a distance, reciprocated in kind...in time.

More feelings and fewer words please

Lovely poem! You hear so much about the big blue and deep brown eyes that is nice to hear hazel get some attention now and then. But then, of course, I'm biased. ~L

Thank you, Jerry, Jo, & Ari. I appreciate your very kind words.
And you, Lori Grosser Rhoden, green and blue, and even brown eyes on a woman are like jewels to heighten their appeal, but hazel eyes on a woman are an adventure on a south sea island..  If: "But then, of course, I'm biased. ~L"  so then you are blessed to understand this...

Thanks!!
JL

Wow!  A blast from the past!  What a nice surprise.
You have me singing the Pennsylvania Polka…

(Thanks for your reply, little elusive butterfly)
Hope all is well with you and yours.
