Now listen guys and listen well
For I have a tragic tale to tell
Our manly ways are in decline
Because we are forced to sit and dine
On packets which our wives unwrap
Tasteless junk and pre-cooked crap
~
I ask you, does your woman cook?
Or more concerned with how she looks
And how much precious time it saves
By bunging it in the microwave
and sets before you her creation
A quivering plate of radiation
~
She’ll moan that when she is feeling fruity
You can’t do your nightly duty
Or your pathetic performance is so poor
That you don’t love her anymore
But isn’t it any wonder that
when your libido’s less than a crippled gnat
~
Oh bring back those heady days of yore
When all our womenfolk knew the score
And fed us on roast beef and steak
Fish and Chips and currant cake
When our randy thoughts we couldn’t hide
And all their wants where satisfied

HaH! Fantastic poetry, Cari. So much truth within the lines it is pathetic.

Yep, that dulled down libido is the direct result many times because of the halfhearted way she treats you around the house, and microwaved meals, while good for a quick meal, but a steady diet of that gray food is a gigantic no-no.

Thanks.

Guilty as charged! True that the way to a man's heart is through his stomach. But I don't nuke everything all the time just the frozen veggies. I'm just heavy on the hamburger helper. But meat is sooo expensive. We eat roast a lot becuz of the crock pot.
It is about time and energy and getting in a rut not a reflection on the man...

Thanks for reminding me how you guys feel about it.

A very thought provoking poem
I am admiring the written rhyme
The poet has penned a true beauty
Nice feelings after seeing this one.

Definitely there is something true in your poem )
That family is blessed, in which at least somebody can cook well.
Nice poem!
