We shared smiles
and it felt like
sunshine on
rainy days.

But now,
we shared a tear
and it felt like
a thousand suns
parading within
my heart space.

Margherita,
Oh how true your words are! There have been some sad times during which the out pouring of others has touched me to the point of feeling a kind of joy that defies the sadness.  Is seems miraculous to me. ~L

Yes, it is amazing what sadness can bring to an otherwise happy person. Whether the sadness comes through personal experiences, or sadness because we hurt for someone we care about who is having difficulties in life.

Yes, dear Lori, it is miraculous. Thank you, dear friend, for your understanding and most kind comment.

Thank you, dear Michael, for your loving comment. Yes, when we are able to deeply share our fragility, the tears transform into pearls with rainbow colors.

Dear Jerry, thank you for your warm comment. Strangely, sometimes a moment of true compassion coming from a friend brings such an amount of solace, that it is felt more intensely than a happy smile. It becomes a process of cleansing and sadness can be overcome more easily.

Love and light.
Margherita

It's all part of being human isn't it! Those up and down things we all have I mean. Me too but the sad ones I try harder to lose. Happy ones can stay as long as they like! Love your poem and pic!

If I were more than I am, I'd see things differently instead of the same all the time.

The picture fits the poem perfectly.

I am moved in different ways when I read your work..that makes your poetry a must read for me..

this resonates deeply in those places
that wear the joys and the tears, sometimes
simultaneously, both making us human

Dear Ida, thank you so much for relating to this thought. Those are truly intense moments, we feel understood.

Dear Naome, thank you for your loving comment and for telling me that you too can relate.

Thank you, dear Stacy Lynn, for your most kind reply. It is almost impossible not to experience some sad moments. When we reach out and when we can share those moments, it's a great gift.

Dear Ford, what a warm reply from you, thank you from my heart. Yes, "deep and emotional" is correct. It pleases me that you like to read my words.

Dear EmmaRose, you are right it happens just as you say. Thank you for being here again and for your loving comment.

Thank you, dear James, for stopping by and for enjoying my words.

Dear Marti, it is reciprocal! Thank you so much for your loving comment. Hugs to you too!

I enjoyed your reply, dear booky1940! Thank you kindly.

Love and joy.
