Out to the East
Cloud armies, waiting
Sour cream washed,
In magenta glow
~
Nature rips her deceitful cloak
Swallows whole the golden radiance
Towers of twisting manic frenzy
Rolling back the placid blue
~
Dagger shards of violet raging
Stab the swirling writhing fury
Whiplash rain rides the wild wind
Hammering on the Prelate’s door
~
Nurse, clad in starched efficiency
Looks down at death with practised eyes
Departing peal of bell sound thunder
Réquiem, ætérnam dona eis,

Friend
The reality in this is simply amazing.

The first two stanzas show:
The relationship of human bondage, and the human, futile need to break the physical, natural chains that bind us to the earths free will, and processes.

And then the third stanza:
Shows our futile trys at depending on clergy to show us the way out of those proscesses.

"Whiplash rain rides the wild wind
Hammering on the Prelate’s door"

The finally-a dedication to a genius composer:

"Réquiem,ætérnam dona eis"
-Grant them eternal rest.

Mozart is smiling in his grave.

"Poetry is an echo, asking a shadow to dance."

What an incredible choice of words, Cari! A Storm it is in impressive colors. Combined with departure it becomes even more powerful. A sudden change where radiance is swallowed and darkness hides the unknown. A new sun will rise ... also for the soul, I trust.
