Eye Contact

Green-moving-red
You glance around,
By your side a vehicle stops,
Just another sheep
In a wandering, metal flock;

Sudden fixation, eye on eye
A voice speaks from in your mind,
Says turn away, return, contact.
Attraction, fixation
Cannot be denied.

Ignore- Divert-feign Disinterest
Fix your collar , Tame a curl
Tilt your mirror, Check your gauges
Raise the music..
You don't have to turn,
To see the arrangement;
Your senses tell you someone is looking,

Eyes exchange a mirrored stare
Turn away, a temporary impermanence
Of Reflections, in the sensate chasm
Of your brows third eye.

Thoughts mix chemical equations,
That make Antenna's vibrate
Oddly,
Then a door That never opened-
Closes,
At the speed of light,
When the light turns green.

You've convinced me ice.

I'm not driving today...maybe never again. I'll just stay home and watch 'Twilight Zone'.

Your writings are always of interest.

Wow, dear Ford, this is a very captivating write. It happens just so.

A few seconds can let us behold an opportunity for change ... but all the considerations need to be done and time has elapsed. Indeed, as you say ... "a door that never opened ... closes".

Much enjoyed.

Thank you Tick, Margherita, and Lori....forreading, and the reply.

I set this poem in traffic, but it can happen anywhere...that glance at one of the opposite sex...Your eye contacts another eye..you look away, return, and make contact again..both look away quickly..kind of ashamed of your thoughts sometimes..then the light turns green, and the door closes...

Thanks again.

Senses aware. Danger! Run! Getaway!

No. Grit it out. . . These lines kicked-ass . . .

Closes,
