She Became A Spent Candle |

Laying on the grass My first love and I With the moon glowing In her dark brown eyes Singing lullabies we knew Still fresh and fun Wishes flowed freely Between our thoughts ...and our spiraling celestial dreams Dreams which seared the night sky like a comet's tail ...then faded as gently as a spent candle Here's to you and here's to me and should we ever disagree, here's to me! |

How true the way dreams and love when we are young Capo. You captured it well. You are double endowed in that you can write sweet as you can sinister. ~L |

Yes indeed, that first love and the dreams which surely accompany it, Mr Martini. Nice, very sweet homage to love in its infancy. ~ If they give you ruled paper, write sideways. ~ |

I always like you and your poems and I'm really happy you're not dead like TF said you were! It was just a thought which made them run. It was just an act that killed them. |

Thank you all for your kind replies. Mon cher Stacy Lynn, you have a precious heart and a caring spirit. Mr. Fingers is a talented fellow who also has a good heart, though he is something of a prankster. Accept this little note of mine as a token of appreciation for your support during the perceived crisis of my demise. Au revoir mon cher amie, Capo Here's to you and here's to me and should we ever disagree, here's to me! |
