What is a rose by any other name?
Would that the answer startle you?
The pink folds,
The spreading out,
As though awaiting pleasure sent.
Eventually closing around itself
It has served its purpose,
Given passion to those who claimed her,
Now it is the time to move on gracefully.

It seems that those that here on PiP deem my poem to be disrespectful. That, of course is a guess. If so, that is a shame, but it seems that way . . . God I hate censorship, even so, this is very tame in my opinion . . . Yeah, I would say that, huh? It is so very sad.

Well it's no secret to me what the issue is here JerryPat. You have those "pink folds" closing around themselves!

I was taught in the B&B portion of my raising that the petals folded over something, not themselves!

Now who could take umbrage with that?

I like this poem and I think you wrote it with a distinct sensitivity for the finer things that exist in nature. Now tell me, who among you are ashamed of yourselves for being here in the human world?

And who among you have such a distaste for one of nature's most beautiful flowers that they want JerryPat driven out of Pip on a rail, or maybe even tarred and feathered? Stocks? 40 lashes on the pole of wisdom?

Well I'm standing with JerryPat and anybody that messes with him messes with...um, messes with, um...MISS LORI!

...and if ya ever come back, more of the same!

A sheepish pair of 88's friends & neighbors.

She told me "play one for your supper Danny and maybe you'll get breakfast".

I defend Jerry's right to write whatever he wants. If he chooses to push the envelope of what is permissible in Open as opposed to another forum that is designed for the erotic and beyond, is his choice. So it is never a question of if he can post a poem, the question is where to post it. This poem is okay by me. ~L

This made me giggle! Kinda different in a funny way that I don't want to say! But I agree that if you want to you can!

It was just a thought which made them run. It was just an act that killed them.
