          True Love

Beyond the ever-restless
winds of Autumn passing,
lies a Wintry world of
relentless sorrows,
infinite longings, and
saddest memories,
without color or purpose;
yet true love is the light
to dispels all such darkness,
and talk against Time,
never vanishing as
smoke to an empty sky.

Happy Christmas everyone !!

Cool write, Bruce. Much depth within!

Merry Christmas to you . . .

It certainly is SHDP, and you expressed quite clearly.

Ida, I'm very sorry, of course, to hear of your health issues!

Thank you for your lovely comments about my latest lil' "poetic scribbles!" ...

Merry Christmas to you too, dear Bruce. This is another masterful write of yours and I do hope that you succeeded in dispelling the darkness of sad thoughts as you affirm in this poem.

Love and peace.

Thank you, Margherita!

For me, Dec. 26th. is perhaps the 'worst day of the year' ...
'cause the nebulous 'magic' of Christmas has vanished once
again (and all 'loss' and 'darkness' of the human condition
seems most keenly felt)  ...

This is the most pretty poem I've read! You must have the girls swooning! Billy says a lot of sweet things but he says he can't write things like poems and love stories. He kinda turns red when we talk about it! He likes to hunt with friends and his dad right now.

It was just a thought which made them run. It was just an act that killed them.

Actually, I had a lady tell me "since you can't eat it or bank it, the 'poetry' is
nothing but a silly waste of time!" ... most Americans in particular apparently
detest poetry, so certainly no one is 'swooning!'
