Waiting on winter to Warm My Soul

Improve on nothing in your living.
Be as you were, and probably now are…

However, I ask
forget me never…
Moreover, know that in my heart
my love for you will be forever…

Understand that my heart is yours,
you did, without much effort,
conquered all.

I have nowhere to hide my infatuation for you –
It appears in my dreams
and in nameless love songs
and poems I pen for you,
and in whispers,
alive in those snowflakes
like the ones,
just outside your door…

Put your hand out and catch one,
and trust, that snow flake is as my heart,
melting,
just touching you…

I cling to memories in my heart,
warming memories of cold wintry snow.

Memories of winter with you
some loving, some silly with passion,
but always to hug
and hold
in that winter time’s cold…

A cup of warm chocolate,
or one hot coffee for two.
Never a dull moment with you,
never…

So until that wintry time,
that I may perhaps see you again,
I will be waiting on a wintry day
to be with you.

Just,
waiting on a winter to warm my soul…

.

Love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind. Love your neighbor as yourself.
Maranatha!

Like the title very much and the poem itself was outstanding with your remembrances of wintry days filled with passion to stave of wintrys' chill

Beautifully romantic, dear JL. A love that endures cold can be kept alive with warming memories.
