the joys of flight
are not really known
to birds who soar
through the air

its their nature to fly
real joy resides in those
who observe them

                               ...and wonder

She told me "play one for your supper Danny and maybe you'll get breakfast".

a bird on the wing
it is marvelous to see
and gives us a smile

This brings a sigh of wonder. I adore to watch them too. It's their nature to fly, but I am sure they are aware of being privileged in a way. Their bliss is tangible and yes, they share it!

Very lovely!
