Visit the city of dreaming spires
Balliol soft in Oxford sunlight
Walk in the footsteps of the learned
Look upon these sacred walls
and read a higher standard of Graffiti

To walk that walk and see those walls leads me nowhere.

As majestic the architecture may be, and for all the high grade scribbles, it has had no impact of a positive nature on the the world such as it is today. I'm sure its "finest hour" as the great Prime Minister put it, has come and gone, right along with the once mighty British empire.

All gone and nothing will bring it back. Its bubble has burst.

A peaceful, enlightening sojourn.

Here's to you and here's to me and should we ever disagree, here's to me!

I’m a little puzzled how you equate five lines on Oxford (A seat of learning) with the British Empire, which incidentally didn’t fall as you said but given back voluntary by granting independence in the years after WW2.
But thanks for reading.

Mr Martini, Thanks for your comment.

I apologize for sounding so insulting Cari. Oxford is of course, the most respected institution of higher learning.

Lulled for the punch line at the end, they stood on the shoulders of giants to write that graffiti. Enjoyed
