Beneath The Line

There's a shadow now

Where her finger used to be

As the sun lays lightly

On the handle of her coffee cup

The mournful walls greet me

In suggestive silence

That I choose to ignore

If not for them I would be guiltless

Still, I am bound to hear them out

In unguarded moments

When the walls speak in silence

And the sun lays lightly

On the handle of her coffee cup

Here's to you and here's to me and should we ever disagree, here's to me!

A very well handled guilt, thanks for the read. Hope you had a good Thanksgiving.

Yep. I quite understand the "guilt" trip, well deserved most times, during certain times in my life. Love that title.
