Simple Things

I remember the smell
of tangerine skins
slowly baking on top
of kerosene burners
Where W.P.A. workers
warmed their cold frostbitten hands
I passed them every day
on the way to school
yes I remember
simple things.

Sweet reminisces Miss Jo.

Sends me off on a 'sentimental journey' of my own.

Jo,
I wish you were my neighbor. I would love to hear your stories and just share the very special circle of your kind and loving space.
You have plenty of wisdom in your words.~L
