Fair to middlin' of nowhere

One leaf is yellow
In the mosaic of mulch
Covering the ground

Nice Lori, some times all we need is one downed yellow leaf to start wondering how this year will finish out. JO

One spot of brightness in a coverage of brown. That light at the end of the tunnel it somehow makes me feel . . .

The thing is...you noticed.

Pick my wallet for your thoughts friend.

TF,
A penny is plenty for my thoughts on this piece. It pretty much wrote itself. Hate to disappoint, but there was no leaf. ~L

I didn't mention a 'leaf' Miss Lori, you did.

Jesus spoke in parables so that only a select few would understand him.

Perhaps your poetry was intended to be understood by one or a 'select few'.

I'll walk on the safer side and simply say that I very much enjoyed your poetry.

Redstart,
If hope is what you felt from this poem, then hope it is! I wasn't going for a deeper meaning but if I left the door open for one then the powers that be are behind all that.
Bless your heart! ~L

TF,
I am humbled that this simple piece has made connections on a higher level. That the powers that be can take my words and use them is amazing. What an affirmation!

Don't ever be afraid to stick your neck out when commenting on anything I write. You really gave me a gift when you made the Jesus connection with this one. Bless your heart. ~L

The image you evoke is powerful and I would relate it to the impermanence of everything, yet also to the awareness that everything is bound to renew somehow ... the leaf is just a tiny part of the still living tree and the mulch helps fertilization ... so it could be a subconscious appreciation of or even a yearning for nature's evolution. Oh!

Enjoyed very much.

Love,
Margherita

I understand you got confused all about the "leaf," and didn't respond to my humble comments in the beginning of the comments . . . giving you another chance . . . Heh.Heh . . .
