it is easier for me to live
amongst the dead
than it is to die
surrounded by the living

for the living
care not for my ashes
that fall through
the grate of my sorrows

still as the shadow of death envelops me
the light of your love shines through
and I ask for no further redemption
than one lasting embrace from you

She told me "play one for your supper Danny and maybe you'll get breakfast".

OOOOh this is nice TF

for the living
care not for my ashes
that fall through
the grate of my sorrows

I like the way you tied it up with this:

...and I ask for no further redemption
than one lasting embrace from you

Embraces are underrated. They are healthy and we should all get multiple hugs a day. There is nothing like arms wrapped around us to make us feel warm and whole again. ~L
