Brief-Candle Journeys

From between the
few orphaned clouds,
a bright-clear moon
enters the twilight
  Autumn window.
Wisps of mist dance
with the falling leaves
and tree-shadows
along the woodland
edge of the ancient
mountain forests.
One thinks of the ten
thousand traceless
paths through these
  ‘endless’ hills
that we have followed;
and what have humans
truly learned, of the
infinite mystery of being,
from the sum of all life's
brief-candle journeys?

Some more than others SHDP, and those who profess to know more usually know less.

The ones that possess the greatest knowledge and/or the greatest strength also possess the greatest humility.

Sometimes.

Good poetry to dwell upon SHDP.
