I have five hours to wake up,
Eventually the sun will rise,
I'll rub at my eyes,
Once again realize I'm going blind.

Someone will chatter,
I'll force a smile,
I've listened to so many tunes,
I might as well be deaf.

I've groped in the dark,
In search of my voice.

I must be mute.

Even with all my senses, the need for others sight, hearing and voices would make me whole again.

Your well written poetry reminds me of these needs.

88's friend.

She told me "play one for your supper Danny and maybe you'll get breakfast".
