Believer

"In Milo's life there were many times in his past
when he had lived a foolish lustful life and he
had found enjoyment writing stories about these
encounters; stories that to some would even seem
like he was boasting, saying look at me, what a
special man I am, yet as he was standing today
he could see the error of his ways, and he could
see that all of this was only pride of life and
lust of the eyes and the flesh, and he knew those
were sensual things to be saved for his wife in
the wedding bed."

Milo wasn't always this way, there was a time
in his life when his role models were Cassonova
or Elvis Presley, or Tom Jones, or more recently
James Bond; yes he thought he was a ladies man,
a charming romancer, a defender of God and country,
until one day, all his false idols fell away and
he realized all these men were just using women
for their own pleasure, to fulfill their earthly
lust; this transformation didn't happen overnight,
this change of direction, in truth it wasn't
through his own power, it was after he believed
and received Jesus as his Savior, and he began
to view his purpose for this life from God's
perspective, not relying on the lust of this
world, the lust of the flesh, or pride to be
his ruler, but the things of the Spirit, when
he gave his heart to Christ he found out that
God gave him the Holy Spirit, the power to
follow things of the heart, not the lust of
the flesh.

If you find yourself thinking nothing here applies
to me, think again, "For all have sinned and come
short of the Glory of God."...Romans 3:23

Milo found that as you receive Jesus into your
heart he gives you the Holy Spirit to Help you,
to Comfort you, to teach you all things; and as
you begin to see and understand the Truth you will
lose interest in the lies of the devil, and the
pride of life, the lust of the flesh; this is not
just you, mind you, not of your own power, but
it is God working through you, transforming you
as you give your heart to him.  Can you believe?

15-"Do not love the world or the things in the
world.  If anyone loves the world, the Love of
the Father is not in him."
16-"For all that is in the world-the lust of the
flesh, the lust of the eyes and the pride of life
is not of the Father but is of the world."
17-"And the world is passing away, and the lust
of it; but he who does the will of God abides
forever"...1 John 2:15-17

I applaud the transformation that has worked in Milo's life by being a believer. It is this strong belief in what is good and pure which brings seeing all things in a different perspective- which may be a road less traveled.
