Bony tree branches
thrust at the blanket of stars
sky yields to darkness.

Last autumn leaves drift
rafting the river current
cavorting with wind.

Storm sweeps fiercely down
cavalry charge of thunder
gusting rain hurls grits.

Ahhh . . . dark haiku's are right up my alley, jjote. Especially liked the first one, but they all connected fantastically!

I'm not really sure I'm doing this right, this form has some "rules" I can't seem to catch. But thanks for the read.

You are doing them 5-7-5 and that is the correct way . . . Haiku's are about nature and senryu's 5-7-5 are about everything else . . .
