Standing tall and proud,

like a queen before her court,

petals fall, crown lost.

I enjoyed the beautiful image here,
so somber yet poignant, as life can
sometimes be!

be well

Nice haiku, with dizzying heights of the beautiful blooming rose to the death and the losing her the crown. Yes!

Might the rose be Anne Boleyn?
Definitely a sad ending, almost every weekday I watch roses bloom gloriously then fade and fall. You've definitely stayed true to the form with that unexpected twist at the end. I wonder why it was so unexpected, it's the life of a rose, succinctly.

Whether on the shoal or on the shore,
I'll seek the lighthouse evermore.

Life in all its' glory - fading gracefully.

Well done, my friend.
