hands on the clock
stuck between midnight and one o’clock
a foreboding time
this barrenness of the night
a time to leave the flesh and complacent Mind
set your thoughts on your
barren Soul
and fill it with
laughter and happiness
this Soul of yours, not accustomed
to anything but bleakness
and shadowy places
now is expected to rise to
wondrous heights
it was a struggle between Soul and Mind
a stalemate as it were
ah, but Soul and Mind combined
to reach heights
n’er ascended to before

why are we here,Mind queried

“Can’t you see,” Soul answered back,
“I was once a dark and
dreary thing . . . without hope”

but you are still dark, Mind replied

“Ah, yes I am,” Soul retorted,
“but now that we have come together,
you are the bellows and the spark.”

Mind laughed
producing the spark

Soul lit up, n’er to go dark again

"stuck between midnight and one o’clock
a foreboding time"
~aah..*witching hour at work here..
power then, in dream and time's thin
veil of ponder!

"ah, but Soul and Mind combined
to reach heights
n’er ascended to before"
~and there is the result-of sed hour

"Mind laughed
producing the spark
Soul lit up, n’er to go dark again"
~egads man, this is gorgeous thought,
great poetry!

This has an accepting ring to it, Jerry,
good fer you- allowing and accepting the
dark it takes, to produce that bright
shine of yours!
be welz, luvd this 'un

Now you have made my day, Lori. Sometimes, somehow, I manage to get one written right. Even I like this one's message. Thank you, thank you for your continued support, sha.
