(Another dream, eh, nightmare I tried to finish.)

when death came to call
she was wearing a mini-skirt
ultra short mini skirt
not the cruel, cold and hateful
Grim Reaper
she wore a plunging neckline sweater
she leaned forward
her breasts waved at me
she held out her hand
Come, she said, our wildest fantasies
I will fulfill

I backed up a few steps
she followed me removing her sweater
caressed her breasts
and smiled at me
Come stud, show me what you’ve got
this wasn’t happening
I back-peddled
she was so very, very sexy
everything about her
was pleasing to the eye . . . except . . .
the smell
she smelled of millions of
decayed bodies
I sensed that I would have
to touch and enfold her before
her luscious body
would transform into what it really was
the Grim Reaper
I ran
with the odious Reaper
fast on my heels
and gaining
I could feel him reaching out for me
I woke up

"when death came to call
she was wearing a mini-skirt"
~Killin' me right-off with this Jerry!
fits of giggle, perfect open

In all seriousness, I read much metaphoric/
dream explanation here...
Hawt dream chick raises warning bells,
Death entangles lust/love/desire in a
caricature of something lovely and desirable
or none would fall to the Reaper, especially
in dream.

(jus' my take, buzz the dinger if I am way off )

Deep write, good luck with your ponder!

Nope, you are right on with your take, Tanya. It is perfect as a matter of fact. Eh . . . I have to say, it was a wild dream what I remembered of it. It made me sit up in a full sweat. Whew!

A death I most certainly recognize... as well as the reek of decayed bodies.  Not sure I was dreaming though.  Glad you woke up, bud.

I had a feeling even as I was writing this poem that you would relate to it. Appreciate your thoughts on it . . .
