Fair to middlin' of nowhere

0 posted 2015-06-09 08:18 AM

Our love is
stronger
than I thought
deeper
than I dreamed
fuller
than I fathomed
a love could ever be.

You have shown me
what  a marriage can be.
We are perfectly imperfect
for each other.
Our faults fit
so well together.
Our hearts are content
to have our lives spent
so happily close knit.

I know I can’t ever remember the date
when you ask…
(even though I have it tattooed on my back)
Today marks year number eight
out of until death do us part.
So far so good…
We had a hell of a start!

Hah! A hell of a start, but it has been soothed over and cemented into what this poem proclaims. Love these lines . . .
quote:
We are perfectly imperfect
for each other.
Our faults fit
so well together.

~In awe of these lines, lil' mrs!
..without those faults you'd never get the whole of your other. Love this!

Many congrats, Lori, on #8 & onward!!

Thanks Devina!
We have been married only 8 yrs but known each other for thirty. We were made to be together at this time in our lives. Our fault lines would have been too big to weave together. ~L

That line says it all.  With expectations of "perfect" come loads of heartache... but unconditional acceptance and adoration of a person for whim they are, not whom you'd like them to be is love.  Really like this one, Lori.
