Endless mountain vale
a handclap echo
for the summer moon

one glimpse of the moon
while leaves still hold
the summer rain

not yet dead
after too much
   wandering
the sky darkens

leaning over
bright wildflowers
a dark willow

on life's road
one traveler
join me

my empty
tea cup
brim-full of
loneliness

graveyard fog
on the stone
"he meant well"

early morning in June
the late Spring breeze
tickles the wings of
   the butterfly

Summer breeze
the wildflowers
she loved to pick

when being here
just be here
in this moment

when the leaves fall
perhaps I shall follow

perhaps someone
might recall
he had passion
and loved Haiku

Ahhh . . . Bruce these two simple, but magnificent lines say all there is to say about we humans' thought process near the end . . .
quote:
perhaps someone
might recall
. . . We like to think that we are thought of without prejudice . . . and thought of with a smile . . .

Such loving beauty with wisps of
pain in this piece...
You've painted the season in sharpness throughout.
*hugs to you

And who cud ever forget your poignant haiku?
not I

take care!

~on life's road

So glad to see you still here, Bruce, on tripping through the blue after my long absence, and I do adore these lines.  I have often wished a travelling companion ... I feel this bit of longing.
