There will never be another
to fill the space I made for you

There will never be another
who loves you quite the way I do

But time is running out, slipping by
ever closer to the end

You realize what you passed by
was more than just a friend

The emptiness comes creeping in
no matter what you do

But the emptiest of any space
is the place I made for you...

Thank you to Balladeer and the PIP staff for helping me recover my account.

I don't post often, only when inspired, I don't sit down to write, only when it hits me,,, like a sledgehammer, but that's my style,,, sledgehammer poetry. I hope it hits you too, and resonates within you~~

This definitely does resonate..
and then just aches in the emptiness on ending.

well done!

One day love that emptiness will be filled... but a hauntingly beautiful way to describe the feeling

It takes a lot of courage to bare out your soul, especially the pain of loss and emptiness. Even when people say you should move on, inside you still want to cling to the memories. Nice write.
