Rain pours down-
to feed a soul,
too hungry to survive.
If not nudged-
I'd- simply put,
flutter and subside.

Memory caves
on crumble-
I scramble
from
deflect's defeat,
Time's sweet decent-
still comes apart
inside
a dark-bird bleat.
Testing me in
kisses-
of salty replete.
Tip me back-
and take me back,
to nights
of sunset-breeze.

When eyes
scorched longest
after,
and dreams
still marked me whole-
When smiles
were made audible,
to matter-
And I had not
become
bled-bold.

Open arms can be the most fragile in the world...

"Bled-bold." This title and references within the poem give the reader an array of possibilities. Enjoyed the path you took withing th4 lines of this poem,

"It rained here this morning... but I still saw a beautiful crescent moon on the horizon before the clouds settled in.  I suppose it was all rather appropriate.  Felt your melancholy all the way down here.  Wish I could make you smile from here.  Throwin' ((hugs)) your way so I fully expect to be pounced soon."

Michael- We must have shared the same rain, light though it was. And? Expectation *granted...

You now have inexhaustible pouncing privileges, sweet man...
